BP has removed CEO Tony Hayward from day to day oversight of the oil disaster, due in part to his past insensitive and callous remarks. Fortunately, Hayward has already lined up his next job: replacing Simon on “American Idol.”

A BP call center operator admitted that calls to the company’s oil clean-up hotline are not forwarded to anyone at the corporate offices. BP said anyone bothered by that is welcome to call their oil clean-up hotline.

Heavy rainstorms on Monday caused major flooding around Oklahoma. Experts warn the damage could be so extensive that Oklahoma’s corn might not grow as high as an elephant’s eye.
